A perfume is a way to communicate your personality, a way for showing your feelings, style, mood and self-concept. The word perfume derives from the Latin word perfumum that means "through smoke". Perfumes are made from essential oils, absolutes, fragrance oils and many others natural aromatic oils and/or synthetic fragrant oil diluted in water and high-grade alcohol. The strength and lasting power of the perfume is determined by the dilution (proportion of water or alcohol) of those fragrance oil extracts. For day-to-day use, lighter naturals perfumes like citrus-based and floral fragrances are recommended. For evening and special occasions spicy scents and woody perfume are the preferred. |
